What Can I Do About my Drinking?

There are lots of things you can do to help yourself if you feel you are drinking too much. And specialist support is also out there if you feel you don't want to go it alone.

Know that you can change if you really want to and believe you can, but need to understand why you are drinking in the first place and be willing make some changes to your life.  You have been drinking because it has helped you cope and this self-help programme will help you discover different ways of coping.

You also need to also be clear – and enthusiastic - about all the benefits that changing your drinking will bring you. If you have nothing to motivate you, it's likely you will carry on drinking.
